I'm an advocate for lifelong learning. My experience in teaching, coaching, and leadership as a principal and superintendent has allowed me to support others in implementing various teaching strategies and pedagogies both nationally and internationally. 

Successful learning communities are built around student voice, choice, and both positive and meaningful relationships. 

 I excel at building positive relationships that lead to academic and social achievements for learners. My mission is to support and increase other educators' capacity to experience the same success.

I’m an educator passionate about helping people increase their emotional intelligence, ability to effectively communicate and solve problems. 

I have over 20 yrs of teaching experience in grades pre-k through 12 and have been lucky enough to teach in the Caribbean, Hawai’i, and at home here in MI in Detroit and Jackson.  

I have focused all of my continuing education on trauma informed instruction, social-emotional learning and holistic teaching and leadership strategies.  I believe a positive and transformative revolution in our education system is needed and coming and  healthy, fulfilled, supported and inspired teachers are necessary for this to occur.

 My life's work is now to help schools give their teachers the type of school culture that not only facilitates teacher retention but that allows teachers to thrive and be reunited with the love for teaching that led them to education in the first place.  

I am a very passionate educator who believes in children and advocates for long-life learning. I've been in the educational arena for over 18 years helping advocate for children. My various roles include Support Staff, Administration, and Mental Health Counselor. In addition, I work to implement various teaching strategies. As the oldest of three children, my caring heart has allowed me to have a broad wealth of knowledge. 

  I provide students with the support to help them cope with emotional pain and give them the educational tools they need to be productive citizens in this world. The reason I became a mental health professional is to provide children with the mental health tools to help them live a life worth living. 

 A school’s support staff is a vital part of any successful school and caring for the entire staff's mental health is the only way to have a truly successful healthy environment for all. My life’s work is to now use all of my extensive experience to help schools create an environment where educators and their support staff know their health and wellness are prioritized and in doing so the children will flourish as well.
